Here are our top tips (straight from Everlast HQ) on how to keep your gloves lasting longer:
Wipe off sweat and residue with your gym towel - After your workout, use your gym towel to remove sweat and residue from your gloves. It's important to note that sweat is acidic, which can expedite the breakdown of materials in and on your gloves, leading to damage such as tears, peeling, and loss of padding. Swiftly wiping your boxing gloves with a damp towel helps minimize the absorption of sweat into the fabric.
Use antibacterial wipes or spray - Keep antibacterial wipes or spray on hand for immediate use. Post-workout, it's advisable to wipe down the outer surface of your boxing gloves with these antibacterial products. This practice effectively eliminates bacteria and helps maintain the cleanliness of your gloves.
Open up and air out - Allow your gloves to air out. Once you've cleaned your boxing gloves, ensure they thoroughly dry in a well-ventilated room or using a fan. This step is crucial as dampness can foster bacterial growth in the gloves.
